Tomozo (Grandfather)

Maruko's grandfather.

He usually spoils Maruko as he loves her so much. Easygoing person and easy to believe whatever Maruko says even she tricks him to get allowance. He feels blue when he gets a trick of Maruko, but he does everything for her in the end. The relationship between him and Maruko is deep that much. His hobby is writing HAIKU (Japanese seventeen-syllable poem) when he encounters incidents.

His favorite food is boiled tofu, fermented soybeans and sea urchin.
